The linkspam is in another castle (2 April 2013)

You can suggest links for future linkspams in comments here, or by using the “geekfeminism” tag on delicious or or the “#geekfeminism” tag on Twitter. Please note that we tend to stick to publishing recent links (from the last month or so).

Thanks to everyone who suggested links.

Whenever I click on the Releng of the Nerds link, I get redirected to an advertising site. Does this happen for anyone else?

Conni, the link works for me. No ad redirect in Google Chrome (vanilla), and none in Firefox (latest, running NoScript) either.

Hey, folks. This isn’t a linkspam submission, just a note to say thank you. I’m the founder/moderator of The Black Board, The Official Writing Community of the Black List and Go Into The Story. A big discussion about under-representation of women in screenwriting is starting up in the online screenwriting community. Thanks to your site and the resources you’ve aggregated at the wiki and feminism 101, I was able to put together a post on under-representation with good solid links on the feminism 101 elements and beyond. I can’t imagine you get thanked enough for what you do, so thank you very much from someone who really appreciates it and is trying to put it to good use.

Cool economist who influenced central bank transparency, in an article that pretty much passes the Finkbeiner test (it mentions support for her students, but the quote is about the technical content of their work). Also, the signal boost from DeLong ( is an example of a guy promoting a woman’s work without coming across as smarmy or talking about how good her meatloaf was. I feel like this should get classified under “that wasn’t so hard, now was it?”
